Envious of the Toyota Prius
Posted in Toyota reviews by Toyota expert at 11:42 pm

The 2004 Toyota Prius offered the US market a new standard for economy.  As a hybrid the market grew slow, but by the 2005 Toyota Prius was taking shape and people from all over (including the US) were jumping on the bandwagon.  The Toyota Prius hybrid is a top car among the Toyota Prius consumer reports, and you would be darn lucky to find one used Toyota Prius on the market today, as most of their buyers have chosen to hang on to these great cars.  Toyota Priuses would thus appear to be here to stay for awhile.

The initial Toyota Prius review would show this car has everything for its would-be driver.  Rather acceptable power output that resembles most other regular gas sedans that are currently on the market, and a rather nice casual yet sporty exterior.  The only mention of problems you will hear in the Toyota Prius reviews is the interior layout which can take a little getting used to.  But once you do I guarantee that you will not even notice it, as it is actually a rather well designed interior, it is just a bit of extra time to familiarize yourself with.

Okay, let’s talk about the Toyota Prius gas mileage as that is its star feature.  Well of course it would be with its hybrid status.  But before I put out the first number, I want you to be aware that this hybrid will be able to keep up with traffic, and get onto a highway, and cruise up a mountainside without any problems what-so-ever which is what I find truly amazing.  The hybrid right now is capable of an average of 45 mpg, which is well above most other sedans in its class.  But besides the average, the Prius is capable of giving its driver up to 60 mpg in the right circumstances, so as you can see; the gas station is a place that you will become rather unacquainted with your new Prius.

Yes, let’s talk about the new 2006 Toyota Prius.  Well, actually since 2006 is nearing an end, I think it would be even more fun to talk the all new 2007 Toyota Prius, and with the engineering that has gone on through the years I would say that a Toyota Prius recall is doubtful indeed, so put your minds at ease.  The new Toyota Prius parts that you will find on the new Prius are a pair of restyled headlights, a sexy front lip spoiler, and an all new European styled taillight cluster that gives the rear that pizzazz it was missing in the previous years.

On the interior view you will be enjoying an all new darker interior seat fabric, with the available options of leather.  There will be a nifty back-up camera offered as an option, and who could leave out the new audio system that will have MP3 capability as well as a host of high quality speakers to bring the sound to your ears.  Out of the options and back onto the standard equipment the Prius has an onboard tire-pressure monitoring system that will really come in handy during those road trips.

All in all the Prius is a great buy, and a car that will not only save you money right off the showroom floor; but will also continue to save you money each time you drive by a gas station.  And I did say drive by… because that is what you will find yourself doing most of the time.  Now how’s that for a bit of relief during our current gas crisis!
